Live afternoon concert featuring the core duo of Rob and Ken.

Brainstatik was invited to play inside of the Ed Adams Gallery to entertain the art patrons and afternoon shoppers in historic New Hope, PA.

Ken and Rob hadn't played together as a duo since September's Cosmic Coffeehouse, but quickly fell into their unique instrumental groove, enhanced by the gallery's wonderful acoustics.

Chairs were set up in the main gallery to accommodate people that wanted to sit down and listen for awhile. At several points a small crowd milled around outside to get a peek at where the music was coming from!

Ken reconfigured his gear again especially for this venue. Rob and Ken had never played in a gallery setting before, and weren't expecting such a warm and positive response from the audience. Between songs they answered questions about the band, the instruments, and what inspires and guides the spontaneous compositions.

Rob belts out a solo while lying on his back. (Okay, not really, but the picture looks cooler this way!) Many in the audience had never seen someone play a guitar synth, so were intrigued to hear the range of un-guitarlike sounds and textures that Rob coaxed from his instrument.
All in all, it was a very successful afternoon show, and there will likely be more gallery performances to come!
